Stephanie M. Thompson, MD, is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Thompson completed her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at University Hospital in Newark, NJ and her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University Medical Center. She received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her undergraduate degree in Spanish from Wake Forest University.
Dr. Thompson has received many honors throughout her academic career and has actively contributed to the scientific literature in the field of reproductive endocrinology. Her ongoing research includes Single vs. Double IUI for Male Factor Infertility and Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) Stimulation of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) in Immortalized Endometrial Stromal Cells.
Dr. Thompson has a keen interest in women’s health and issues of nutrition, weight management and conception. Being a reproductive endocrinologist gives her the opportunity to work with women on these combined fronts, making what she does every day very rewarding.
