Spencer Kroll, MD, PhD, FNLA, is a board certified internal medicine physician and Director of the Kroll Medical Group and the Cholesterol Treatment Center.
Dr. Kroll completed a residency in internal medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and a medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. He received his doctoral degree in pharmacy from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and his master’s degree in biostatistics from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/City University of New York. Finally, he received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.
Dr. Kroll’s professional affiliations include:

- The Northeast Lipid Association Board
- The Residual Risk Initiative Board
Dr. Kroll is especially interested in the biochemistry of cholesterol and lipid disorders. He has authored multiple papers and been involved as the principal investigator in many research trials. He currently hosts the podcast series This Week in Cholesterol, and is the principal investigator for ProMetrix Clinical Research. He has appeared as a guest on many medical shows, including ReachMD™ as an expert on cholesterol and lipid disorders. In addition, he is a contributing author representing the National Lipid Association for Sharecare, Dr. Mehmet Oz’s website for connecting patients with medical experts.
Dr. Kroll is an avid scuba diver and is married with four children.
